September 23, 2003 -- Dr. Falk Billion, an independent golf course appraiser based in Munich, Germany, will deliver a speech titled 'Key Factors For Successful Golf Course Business' at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference & Exhibition in Athens on November 29, 2003. Falk, who is co-founder of the German Golf Course Owners Association, will also moderate the 'Effective Golf Course Management: Creating the Most Value for Owners and Investors in Europe' panel on Saturday, November 29. Born in 1949, Dr. Falk Billion is an independent golf course appraiser based in Munich, Germany. A geographer by training (PhD in 1975), he initially worked in leisure research, planning of recreational facilities, and sports management. From 1985 on, he has been working in the world of golf. After positions as Managing Director of the German Golf Association and CEO of a German golf course development company, he established his office in 1991. To date, Falk has completed some 380 reports on a great variety of business aspects of the golf course industry for over 200 clients in Germany and in other European countries (golf course owners and operators, land owners, investors, banks, public authorities, law courts, insurance companies, etc.).
