Colin Hegarty, President, Golf Research Group, joins INVgolf Investment Forum 2005 Steering Committee

January 11, 2005 -- Colin Hegarty, President, Golf Research Group, today accepted to join the Steering Committee of the INVgolf Investment Forum 2005, to be held in Belek, Antalya, Turkey, April 22 & 23, 2005. This international Steering Committee consists of respected members of the hospitality, leisure, golf and real estate industries with hands-on experience in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Central Asian and Black Sea regions as well as Peter Michel Heilmann, Founder & Director, INVgolf.

Colin will also deliver a keynote speech titled 'Recent Trends and Future Projections for Golf Resort Development in the EMEA Region' on Friday, April 22.

Career summary

Colin founded the Golf Research Group (GRG) in 1989 to undertake research into the business of golf. Today, with offices in the UK and USA, the GRG carries research into the golf industry on a global basis tracking golf in 126 countries. The GRG undertakes an annual phone survey of every golf course world-wide; over 32,000 courses are surveyed.

Colin has published a wide range of business reports examining the golf industry. The Golf Research Group provides consulting services to many of the largest companies operating in the golf industry today. The Golf Research Group has considerable experience undertaking feasibility, and business planning assignments in many regions of the world.

Colin regularly speaks at industry conferences. He has written, and been quoted in, numerous press articles around the world. Colin frequently speaks on the radio and appears on TV to discuss the research findings of the GRG.
