Jannis Patellis to deliver keynote speech at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference

November 28th, 2003 -- Jannis Patellis, former President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT), will deliver a speech to a distinguished audience at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference in Athens today.

Career summary

Jannis Patellis Dipl. Ing. Dipl. Wirt.Ing. has undertaken a large number of feasibility and development planning studies. He is an economist engineer and has extensive experience in monitoring, management and evaluation of the European Union's development projects CSF I (Community Support Framework), CSF II, IMP, etc.

Furthermore, Jannis is a golf development analyst in Greece and author of a consultancy document, in Greek ("The Strategic Plan for the Development of Golf Infrastructure in Greece"), on conference tourism and golf infrastructure development, published by the Hellenic Ministry of Environment in 2000.

He has presented numerous papers at international conferences, is author of two books and has been honoured for his scientific contribution with the title of Cavelliere Officiale by the Italian Republic and by the People's University of Moscow. Jannis is a member of the AIEST (International Association of Scientific Experts in Tourism, Geneva) and other international and national associations, organisations and chambers (UNICEF, OMMA, Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), etc.).

He speaks English and German fluently and has a good command of French and Italian.

Jannis is married and father of two children.
