Walter Prochorenko, General Manager, Pro-W, to speak at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference
June 16th, 2003 -- Mr. Walter Prochorenko, General Manager of Pro-W (Ukraine) and the Golden Gate Golf Club, Ukraine will deliver a speech titled "First Golf Course in a Major Country: Ukraine - Opportunities and Difficulties" to a distinguished audience of industry leaders, top investors, leading entrepreneurs, decision-makers, policy formers and professionals at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference in Athens on November 29th, 2003. Career summary Born in Stanislaviv, what is now known as Ivano-Frankivsk, in Ukraine in 1943, Walter was a European resident until 1954, mainly residing in Belgium and Germany. In 1954 he moved to the USA and became a citizen of that country in 1961. Walter attended Baruch College, City University of New York, where he graduated in 1972. Walter undertook postgraduate work until 1976, at which time his business activities required that he traveled all over the world full-time. He has over 30 years' experience in international trade and international business development, which included successful ownership and management of several companies. Main countries and territories in which Walter was active: Japan, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Switzerland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Guam, Saipan, Palau, United Kingdom and the USA. Walter is currently active in Ukraine, Czech Republic and the USA. Walter's primary business focus: large commercial and government construction projects, military bases reconstruction, and resort development. Walter has been successfully involved in many of the largest projects in the world. Walter became enamored with golf course
development during the construction of golf resort projects in Guam, Saipan, Vietnam, and Okinawa for major Japanese and Thai developers. Walter is presently involved in completing his Ph.D. in International Business and is writing a book about doing business in Ukraine. Further information For
