November 25, 2003 -- Russell Talley, Golf Course Architect, European Golf Design Limited, United Kingdom, will deliver a speech to a distinguished audience of industry leaders, top investors, leading entrepreneurs, decision-makers, policy formers and professionals at the 2003 European GOLF Investment and Real Estate Conference & Exhibition in Athens on November 29, 2003. He will also join a specialist panel on "Trends in Integrated Leisure Resorts and Investments".

Russell Talley is a golf course architect at European Golf Design, the golf course design company of the European Tour and IMG.

Russell was born (1959) and raised in Oklahoma, USA. Russell began his studies of golf course architecture 30 years ago at the age of 14. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy in 1981, under the auspices of Dr James B Beard, International Turgrass Professor and Research. During his university period Russell also worked in the United States Greens Section Greens Testing Laboratory with Dr. Kirk Brown. Right after university graduation he went to work for Pete Dye as an associate architect and construction supervisor-shaper at Oak Tree Golf Club in the USA, then Domaine Imperial GC in Nyon, Switzerland. Russell subsequently moved to London in 1989 to work as a Design Associate for Jack Nicklaus Golf Services in Europe until 1992. He has resided in Europe for nearly 20 years. Russell joined European Golf Design in 1997. Russell is responsible for producing golf course designs and specifications, as well as overseeing construction work, negotiating contracts.

The company, a joint venture between IMG and The European Tour, are currently working on projects in many diverse locations around the World, from the Caribbean to Russia and from Finland to South Africa. European Golf Design is working for clients ranging from major hotel groups such as Whitbread Hotels, to development groups like the Benetton family and the Myramar Group in Spain. Other clients have included the Croatian Tourist Board, Epirito Santos Bank, First National Bank and PGA European Tour Courses PLC.
